From humble beginnings to a regenerative organic farm trusted by chefs and families across Southern California.
I'm Juan Osorio, the founder of Osorio Family Farms. Farming runs in my blood. I grew up watching my parents and grandparents work the land, and from a young age I learned that good food doesn't come from shortcuts — it comes from patience, hard work, and a deep respect for the soil.
When my wife and I started Osorio Family Farms here in Carpinteria, we made a promise to ourselves: we would grow food the way it should be grown. No synthetic chemicals. No corner cutting. Just honest farming that gives back to the land instead of taking from it.
Today, our family farm sits between the Santa Ynez mountains and the Pacific Ocean — a small piece of Santa Barbara County paradise — and we feel lucky every single day to call it home.
— Juan Osorio, FounderEvery farm has a story. Here's ours — the milestones, the lessons, and the moments that shaped Osorio Family Farms.
Juan and his family put their first seeds in Carpinteria soil with a simple mission: to grow real food, the way his grandparents did.
We brought our greens, tomatoes, and heritage vegetables to local markets — and our customers told us they could taste the difference.
We doubled down on regenerative organic methods — cover cropping, composting, no-till practices — building soil health for generations to come.
Top Santa Barbara and Los Angeles restaurants began featuring our produce on their menus, and our partnership with Farm Cart took off.
We opened our fields for visits and educational walks — sharing what regenerative farming really looks like, one family at a time.
The principles that guide every decision we make — from the seeds we choose to the people we partner with.
This land was here before us and will be here after. We farm to leave it better than we found it.
We grow what we say we grow, the way we say we grow it. Our practices are open for any customer to see.
From farmers' market regulars to LA chefs, the people who choose our food are family to us.
We'd rather grow less and grow it right than chase volume at the cost of flavor and health.
We love welcoming visitors who want to learn about regenerative farming. Reach out to schedule a walk through the fields with the Osorio family.
Schedule a VisitThis is what real organic farming looks like — no marketing, no stock footage, just the Osorio family working our chemical-free Carpinteria fields every single day.
